1. Which delivery format should I select?

Different products on our site are available in different formats. The list of formats a product is available can be seen in the center of each product page. You can also view more details on format/license types by clicking the "Options" tab on each product page. Some typical format/license options offered are:

Electronic (PDF): This product will typically be emailed to you as an attachment, or downloaded from a link sent in an email after receipt of your order and payment. Electronic products are typically in PDF format, but may also be in Excel, Word, PowerPoint or Access formats. The format that a product is available in is typically specified on that product’s product page.

There are various licence types available in electronic format.

Single User Licence: Allows one person, typically the buyer, to have access to the ordered product. The ordered product cannot be distributed to anyone else.

Site Licence: Typically allows the ordered publication to be shared among employees of your organisation at one location only. (A "site" is a building or group of buildings in a single physical location, in which the licensee operates. In the event that an organization operates in multiple locations, and requires the publication at each of those locations, then a site licence for each location is required, or alternatively, a Global/Enterprisewide Licence - as detailed below.

Global/Enterprisewide Licence: Unlimited use of the publication within the "enterprise", being any location where the institution operates, i.e. Such a license enables the purchaser to share the research with colleagues in the same company.

Online Access: The details of your online access will be emailed to you after receipt of your order and payment.

Hard Copy: This product will be shipped to you in either hard or soft cover format after receipt of your order and payment.

CD-ROM: This product will be shipped to you in the form of a CD-ROM disc after receipt of your order and payment.

2. What ordering methods are available?

FriedlNet is committed to make the ordering process as easy as possible. There are five ordering methods available:

1. Order online using your credit card:

Our default payment option is online by credit card. This is the quickest method of placing your order with us. It is also the easiest and most straight forward way to order.

From our product pages, simply select the format of the product you wish to order, and then click the "Add to Cart" button to add that format option to your Shopping Cart. Our website will forward you to your Shopping Cart screen from which you can proceed to checkout, or continue shopping.

How do I add an item to my Cart?

First click the “format/ licence type“ option you wish to order, and then click the "Add to Cart" button above to add that option to your Cart.

How do I access my Shopping Cart?

When you have completed adding products to your cart you can review all the contents by clicking the Shopping Cart button on the top right of our website.

How do I edit the contents of the Cart?

On your Shopping Cart screen you can amend the quantity of a product you wish to purchase by typing and entering the required number inside the quantity field, or remove a product by clicking the "Remove item from cart" icon.

What is the checkout process?

Once you are satisfied that you have all the products you require in your Cart, click the "Proceed to Checkout" button on your Shopping Cart screen to begin checking out. If you are not yet a registered user, you will have to enter your details at this time, to provide your invoice address and delivery address (if different from the shipping address). You can then choose your payment method and confirm your order. You will then be taken to a site where you can choose your currency and credit card type.

Which credit cards does FriedlNet accept?

FriedlNet accepts the following cards: MasterCard, Visa and American Express (AMEX). Choose the credit card you want to use and enter your credit card number and credit card details (if different from the billing address). Click on “MAKE PAYMENT” in order to confirm your order. Once you have submitted your order, you will be informed in real-time mode whether your payment has been successful; you will also receive a receipt of your order by e-mail.

2. Order online, but use your credit card offline:

You wish to order online, but don't want to use your credit card on the internet. No problem. During the check out process, you can choose the “Credit Card Offline (Fax, Email)” payment option.

Just click this option. You will receive an online as well as an email confirmation providing you with credit card payment details concerning the “Credit Card Offline” option. Please note that we only can arrange for the dispatch of orders after we have confirmed the receipt of payments.

3. Order online and pay by wire or telegraphic transfer:

If you wish to pay by wire or telegraphic transfer, please choose this option. Detailed payment instructions will be sent to you by email.

4. Order online and send us a check by post:

If you want to pay by mail with check or money order, you can choose this method. You will receive an online as well as an email confirmation providing you with ordering and address details. Please note that this method is somehow slower than other payment options and that we only can arrange for the dispatch of orders after we have confirmed the receipt of payments.

3. What payment methods are available?

We offer several payment methods:

Credit Card: This is the quickest payment method and ensures the fastest dispatch of your order. FriedlNet accepts VISA, Mastercard and American Express (AMEX). We will issue you with a receipt via email once your payment has been processed.

Telegraphic/Wire Transfer: After your order has been placed - either online, via fax or via post - an official invoice will be emailed to you if paying via wire transfer.

PayPal: You can choose “Pay by PayPal via Email” as your payment method. Please email us and we will provide you the according Email address to which you can send the payment.

4. Do I need to pay Sales Tax (VAT)?

You do not need to pay VAT (Sales Tax) if you are located outside of Austria, e.g. the US.
If you are located outside of Austria, but inside the EU European Union, e.g. the UK, you simply need to provide your Company's accurate and valid VAT registration/identification number (issued by your EU member state).
Orders originating in Austria are subject to VAT (Value Added Tax) of 20%.
Our VAT number is ATU64162729.

Checking Out: When you initially put a publication into your basket, the VAT will be added to the price of the publication. However, during the checkout you will enter your personal details including your Company’s VAT number. If you enter your VAT number you will qualify for the tax-exemption and the according value will be subsctracted from the total price.

5. What is a CVV Number/Where can I locate it?

CVV is an anti-fraud security feature to help verify that you are in possession of your credit card.

For Visa/Mastercard, the three-digit CVV number is printed on the signature panel on the back of the card immediately after the card’s account number.
For American Express, the four-digit CVV number is printed on the front of the card above the card account number.

6. Can I be invoiced for my order?

After your order has been placed - either online, via fax or via post - an official invoice will be emailed to you if paying via credit card offline, telegraphic/wire transfer or company check.

If making payment via credit card a receipt will be emailed to you.

We can of course issue you with both an invoice and receipt (once payment has been received) regardless of the payment method chosen if you wish.

Once your order has been placed and payment has been received, our Sales Team will arrange for the dispatch of your order.

Please note that your order will not be dispatched until we have received your payment.

7. When can I expect to receive my order?

Due to the various time zones our customers are located in, the timeline for delivery with each customer can vary. However, we strive to dispatch electronic products one business day or sooner subsequent to receipt of payment.

Products that require shipping will take longer to dispatch and generally arrive 3 to 7 business days after receipt of your order and payment.

To ensure that emails we send you reach your inbox, and aren't mistakenly sent to your Spam/Trash folder, please whitelist our email address domains, which is @friedlnet.com.

8. How will my electronic product be delivered?

Electronic copy products are typically delivered via email one business day from receipt of your order and payment, if not sooner.

9. I have not received my electronic product yet, what should I do?

In order to ensure the successful delivery of your order please ensure that there is adequate room in your inbox to receive larger emails.

Also, check that your email account is configured to receive both PDF and Word document attachments.

It may be necessary to contact your administrator to ensure the email will not be trapped by a spam filter.

10. Site Security - Is the online ordering process secure?

FriedlNews has partnered with industry leaders to protect the privacy of your personal information by using a variety of security technologies and procedures to prevent unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

For example, we store the personal information you provide on computer systems with limited access, which are located in controlled facilities. In addition, everything submitted to us is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL). This encryption method is used widely on the internet to keep information secure.

When making your payment, you can safely enter your entire credit card number via our secure server, which encrypts all submitted information. If you use our secure page for online orders - and we recommend that you do - then all of the personal information you send us, including your credit card number, is encrypted so that it cannot be read as it is transmitted across the Web.

Although we use advanced encryption (Secure Socket Layers), we cannot guarantee the security of the information you transmit to us. While our site is secure, the internet is not. If you prefer to place an order by phone, our Sales Team is standing by Monday through Friday (GMT+1 Office Hours).
